I’m a compassionate counselor with more than 27 years of experience walking alongside people through some of life’s hardest seasons. My journey began as a youth leader and lay counselor in a church setting, where I first discovered how powerful it can be when someone feels truly heard, respected, and supported. Over time, that calling became my profession, and my work has continued to center on one goal: helping people understand why they respond the way they do—and supporting them as they replace harmful patterns with healthier ones.
I’m here to help you build insight and practical coping skills for challenges such as anxiety, depression, loss and grief, life transitions, and the persistent impact of childhood trauma—so you can find clarity and peace. I use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, grounded in trauma-informed care. I work with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations, and I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.
I’ve lived in the United States of America for 11 years, including nine years working in the mental health field—first in New Mexico (LMHC), then in Colorado (LPCC), and now in Tennessee as an A-LPC/MHSP. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Nairobi, a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Daystar University, and a Doctorate (PhD) in Organizational Learning Science from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. My doctoral work focused on Motivational Interviewing as a tool for leaders, and I continue to bring that leadership lens into counseling—especially when clients are navigating change, burnout, and the pressures that come with responsibility. Having also lived in Kenya, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, I bring a cross-cultural perspective and deep respect for each person’s lived experience.
